Export the selected month

To work with your AL-Naqawa prayer timetable in a spreadsheet, calculate the city and month first, then select Download CSV. Import that file into Excel or Google Sheets and check the dates, columns and settings before editing it.

The current export includes the date, six time columns including Sunrise, and context columns for the city, time zone, calculation method, Asr rule, high-latitude rule, Ramadan option and minute adjustments. These context columns help keep a shared table understandable.

Prepare a clean import

Choose the city, month and year in the monthly timetable. Wait for the complete set of rows, then review your calculation settings. The downloaded filename includes the city ID and first date, but the rows carry the more useful descriptive context.

Keep an untouched copy of the original download. If you plan to add personal notes, do so in a separate working copy so it is easy to distinguish exported values from later edits.

Import in Excel

Microsoft’s desktop Excel instructions describe Data → From Text/CSV. Choose the downloaded file, inspect the preview and load it into a sheet. If everything appears in one column, select a comma as the delimiter in the import options. Menu labels can vary by version.

Check how dates and clock-time strings have been interpreted. If you need to preserve the exported strings exactly, import those columns as text. Do not assume a spreadsheet’s regional settings will use the same date or time display as the website.

Import in Google Sheets

On a computer, open a sheet and choose File → Import, then select the CSV. Google lists CSV among its supported formats and provides import-destination and separator options. For an initial check, create a new spreadsheet or insert new sheets rather than replacing data you want to keep.

If the columns do not separate as expected, choose Comma as the separator. After import, compare the first and final dates and a sample row with the original timetable.

Retain the context before sharing

A useful final check is one row per selected date, all prayer columns visible, and the city, time zone and method still attached. Sunrise is a separate reference, not an additional daily prayer. These are calculated start times, not a mosque’s Iqamah schedule.

  • Keep the original export and add your notes in separate columns.
  • Retain the context columns if you copy rows into another sheet.
  • Regenerate the download after changing the city, month or calculation settings.
  • Treat the file as a snapshot: a CSV download is not a live calendar subscription.
