Hijri calendar

Explore an Islamic month or the whole Hijri year, with Gregorian dates alongside. Choose your calculation method, adjust dates, and print or download your calendar.

Calculated dates for planning. Observed dates may differ by location and moon sighting. A positive adjustment advances the displayed Hijri date; it is your preference, not an official correction. Islamic observances begin at sunset on the preceding civil date; this date-only tool does not calculate sunset.

Preparing your calendar…

Gregorian support: 1900–2100. Hijri dates must fall within that range. Calendar data is calculated on your device using its Intl/ICU calendar implementation; versions may differ. It is independent of your prayer-time calculation method.

One month or the whole year

Choose Month for a detailed calendar or Year to see all twelve months together. Open a month by selecting its heading or a date. Printing and CSV downloads use the view you are looking at; shared links preserve the view, calculation method, adjustment and week start.

Both views use the same date conversion. At the edges of the supported Gregorian range, 1900–2100, only available dates are shown.

Dates you can understand

The Hijri calendar follows lunar months. Umm al-Qura and tabular civil calculations can produce different dates, and observed months may begin on different days in different communities. Select the calendar you follow and confirm religious observances with your local authority.

What does the day adjustment do?

A +1 adjustment displays the Hijri date calculated for the following civil day; −1 displays the preceding day. The same setting is applied in both conversion directions, the calendar grid, exports and important-date list. It changes your planning view, not an official announcement.

When does an Islamic day begin?

Religious observances begin at local sunset on the preceding civil date. This tool converts whole dates and does not infer a sunset boundary from your device clock. For local calculated prayer times, use the prayer-time tools.

Is Laylat al-Qadr a fixed date here?

No. The important-date list marks the period starting with the twenty-first night of Ramadan. It does not identify or guarantee one particular night as Laylat al-Qadr.

Calculation and reference sources

Calendar conversion uses the explicit calendar types supported by Intl, described in Unicode’s calendar documentation. Important Hijri date conventions were checked against Islamic Relief’s calendar reference. That reference is not a confirmation of every date produced by our calculator. These are planning tools, not official holiday notices or religious rulings.
