Prepare one clearly labelled reference
Before Ramadan, decide which timetable you normally follow and confirm how its settings are expressed. Check the city, named method, Asr rule and any added minutes. Keep those choices with the schedule so another member of the household can understand what it shows.
A monthly timetable is useful for planning, but its Gregorian month may not align exactly with the beginning and end of Ramadan. Prepare the relevant calendar pages rather than assuming one printed month contains the whole observance. Mark dates only after checking the announcement you follow locally.
Separate the month announcement from daily times
Prayer calculations and the confirmation of an Islamic month answer different questions. The daily timetable concerns a place and date; the month announcement concerns the calendar convention or authority followed by your community. One does not automatically settle the other.
Use an estimated date for tentative planning only when it is clearly described as an estimate. Keep the official confirmation channel easy to find. A message shared without its location, year or source may be referring to a different community or an earlier Ramadan.
Check extra labels before using them
Ramadan schedules may add labels such as Suhoor, Imsak, Iftar or Taraweeh. Their meaning must be read in the context of the source. An extra precautionary label is not a new astronomical event that every app should silently substitute for Fajr.
Quran 2:187 is a primary reference for the dawn-to-night framework of fasting. Questions about precise practice or your circumstances should be taken to a trusted teacher or local authority. The website provides calculated starts, not a personalised fasting ruling.
- Read every extra column heading and any explanatory note.
- Confirm where the mosque publishes Iqamah and Taraweeh arrangements.
- Keep the local announcement link beside your planning notes.
- Recheck a schedule if a clock change occurs during the month.
